One of my guildies got his new Tormenter armor and he looks way cool. Sorry I didn't take any screenshots was too busy admiring his new gear. Basically, Yay Anet! for making my guildie so happy. Oh yeah and Happy Holidays to all! Remember be happy with what you receive and enjoy what you have. Life is too short to complain.

It's wierd seeing Energy gain displayed for Bonnetis and Balth Spirit. I think that's new - I remember seeing it pre-update for Bow Shot/Axe Hit with Vampiric, but not for the Monk stuff. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Yeah, that's definitely new. Now I get the little purple +1 floating above me when using a zealous mod. Had only ever seen energy gain numbers with Victory is Mine before.

It appears that you now get energy numbers for things that affect you just like health numbers. It did seem kind of odd to me that the enemy gets to know how much energy they drained from you but you get to guess.

Can someone confirm these?
- Monsters don`t seem to be running away from AoE now? (symbol of wrath and fire storm on devourers and scarabs outside Amnoon)
- Desert portals no longer display the correct sequence when you step into the circle? (at least the first one from Amnoon, i had to activate it by trial and error)

PLEASE don't tease me like that! My average playing time has dropped consideraby in the past month for lack of anything to do, and that would really get me playing again. Of course, I'm away from my computer till Saturday, but it would be a very pleasant surprise.
Man, 2 things I wish would get fixed in the next century:
1) female warrior hammer animations (they are PITIFUL)
2) Crude Swing is WORTHLESS because of interruptability. What are the odds of being in the midst of a group and not getting hit once before getting this attack off, considering the hammer is the slowest weapon in the game?!? Earth Shaker doesn't always work when used before Crude Swing, it costs 8 or 10 adrenaline (I forget), AND it means having to waste an Elite just to (semi) effectively use another skill. If Crude Swing were fixed to where it was actually useful, the market for hammers would grow quickly, and it wouldn't be all about swords and axes. PVP warriors use hammers for interrupts, but almost no PVE people play with hammers. Give us a worthwhile skill, dammit!

We did GvG today. Our second match starts. I look at the opposing guild when the match started:
Eternum Pariah
Rank: 1
Rating: really high
The matching system is better. BS. On the flip side, they were a friendly crowd who invited us to their IRC channel, and it was a rather enjoyable loss (we danced for them for some entertainment before they slaughtered our guild lord - they requested a Mesmer river-dance).

The problem with the Christmas update is that if not implemented early enough many will miss because many will be away for Christmas. This is why I was really hoping it would be today. I would to miss it. Plus I don't expect anything else for holidays except Christmas. These events keep me playing.
The Tormentor set looks good. Nice job Anet.

This is more of bug-fix update, but at least necros FINALLY get their 15k Tormentor's armor.

how hard can it be to change the textures to white, add some snow and transplant a tree from the shiverpeaks into Lion's Arch? just add lots of early sales marketing, coca cola, shops to buy lots of useless expensive junk and you too can have a very merry corporatemas

* Added mouse wheel zooming to the Map Overlay screen.

I have seen no comments on these, but personally I like these the most. I do understand that many necros have been waiting for the armor and the skill fixes are always necessary, but still these changes affect almost every player
A nice update, even after such a long time. Thumbs up!
